Juxtaposition

Wikipedia states, in linguistics and semantics, contrast is a relationship between two discourse segments. Contrast is often overtly marked by markers such as but or however, such as in the following examples:

-It's raining, but I am not taking an umbrella.
-We will be giving a party for our new students. We won't, however, be serving drinks.
-The student knew about the test on Friday, but still he did not study.

In my opinion, juxtaposition is the new way to solving problems! I mean, finding new ways in daily life. I mean, won't life be boring if we do the same things everyday?

Creative Mind Mapping!

LOL! This is my mind map! It made me dizzy because I had to dig so deep into my thoughts o.o!

The Kubrick In You

If I were to choose a person who is creative, innovative and inventive, I'd totally choose Stanley Kubrick. You see, he's my all-time favorite director but I haven't really watched all of his movies but the movies I've watched opened my eyes wide shut. LOL get it? Oh, I'll explain that later.

He maintained almost complete control to his own way and time constraints. He has the attitude where everything has to be perfect, like totally perfect. Bree Hodge, much? But, yeah, his films are the definition perfection. All of his work takes a long period of time to make but the results are always outstanding.

The Kubrick films that I've watched are Dr. Strangelove (1964), 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), The Shining (1980), and Eyes Wide Shut (1999). Figured it out yet? :D

All of his films are very VERY different in every way. They're funny, they're emotional, they're scary, they're sexual, they're everything you could ever imagine. Creative, aight! May you rest in peace, Stanley Kubrick!

Innovation And Invention

Lol no ideas are original. That's what we learned yet it's only mentioned in that controversial blockbuster hit, Inception. Also mentions the exact same statement at the beginning of the film.

Well, if we put it that way, let me look at an important invention today. Let me think. Um um um, uww I got one! The airplane! Oh I thought of it because I'm listening to a song concerning airplanes; Airplanes featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore by B.o.B. LOL Enough about that, airplanes as you know were invented by the Wright Brothers in the 1903. That was the year the first plane flew of the ground successfully. If we're going to look at the concept of idea not being original, let's take a look on this invention.

Now I made a little research myself, and Wikipedia states that Leonardo Da Vinci had a few designs himself but never had the chance to create it. Back to the concept again, Da Vinci may have picked up from an idea by a Greek Inventor; a bird shaped model device. Back to the concept yet again and this idea is obviously inspired by a bird. See? It ain't original. HAH!

Music may come from the tweet of birds.
Telephone is inspired by communications with a little distance.
Is there even an original idea, really? :O

Unique Logos!

I'm a Media Innovation student. I had one assignment work where we have to design our own logos. Since I have no background on originality, I failed miserably. My logo looked so normal-ish. Geez. I did a little research and I found these!

Lol this one's so colorful!

I got it!

Now this one's cool.
Never thought of that.

But this one's color,
spelling EIGHT with the number 8.

Now when am I going to have a mind so wide, up till the point I can think as creative as to create logos such as the above?!

How Does Bung Look To Me?

This is my creative expression on Dzulkifly Ehsan also famously known as Bung. I drew this before he cut his hair. He's much hotter now *wink wink* LOL horny moment? Excuse my dark humor as I'm in a dark mood, or am I? Anyways, Bung always wear as sleeveless shirt in the hostel and I once webcam-ed with my friend, Puteri and she saw Bung. She dubbed him the name "Sleeveless Guy" because I refused to tell her his name. Muahahaha! :D Bung also has that evil smile on him sometimes so I tried to catch in this drawing as well. That's the most creative view I can see. I'm not in my 'out of the box' mood, now. Boo hoo!

Surrealism

This is a personal post :D And personally, if there's one thing I'm obsessed with, it'd be surrealism. And you may ask, why does Raja Zakiyy like something so freaky?! Well, you may also stop to think that maybe I be freaky as well to go with my interests? Confusing, yes? *Evil laughs*

Moving on, now surrealism requires an excessive amount of creative thinking because usually surrealism works, as Wikipedia claims, features the element of surprise, unexpected juxtapositions and non sequitur.

I love surrealism art because of its uniqueness! I mean, the artwork are so unusually and so many people don't appreciate them because it's different. Why do you people do such things?! They're beautiful artworks!

Salvador Dalí is one of the most known surrealism artist in the world. R.I.P.

The Persitance of Memory by Salvador Dalí

Awesomeness. The art work really pulls me. Some people mentioned that the melting clocks can refer to the irrelevance of time. You can describe this artwork in so many ways! Makes your mind go berserk just thinking about it. And that's is why I love surrealism. It inspires me so much. ♥

So, What Is Creativity?

Well, for before I did any research, being creative is a way to think out of the box. So, creative thinking should mean something that's usually unusual. Uww, usually unusual. Unusually usual. OMG Confused much? Anyways, in my point of view, creativity can sometimes be from something that's original and production follows.

Some people look at creativity to be for the use of only art. I look at it that way as well, its usually that away. Unusually usual, am I annoying or what?! Back to topic (again), as I said, creativity involves a product. We have to can come up with so many awesome ideas for a product. I mean, it could be anything! Just think creatively!

Artwork by Lora8 of DeviantArt

Lora is one of my favorite artists from the site. Her artworks are so eye popping and attractive! Just look at the artwork above, she used a canvas, some paints, pens and taa-daa unsual artwork. Let's think creatively now, the word unusual is getting a little tiresome. Now, what can I say about this work? Hmmm OH I GOT IT!

Uniqueness
